116 - One NATO flag is missing

The attack against Nordstream was a naval operation done by a state actor.

Not this one:

But it played VERY important role it seems.

It is said that only advanced navy of a strong nation could have done it.

Former mine clearance diver of the French Navy Philippe Chêne talks about Nordstream

After the event NATO started to protect its fragmentation and unity.
But it was unclear whether Russia will retaliate to that one nation!
Which one? The one which was missing of course!

How could they KNOW?

We need to look back to 19-09-2022 and one trip
from Norway to the USA.
-> First to the Nato HQ
-> Then to Pentagon
-> Then to NY

Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre,
Norway’s Minister of Defense Bjørn Arild Gram, ¨
and the U.S. Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro
visited the first-in-class aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78)

T
op level intel was delivered.
Highly probably it was about:
- the UKś plan to attack Nordstream here, here
- drones near NOR production facilities
- Possible Truss breaking NPT
Perhaps about all of this?

This caused HUGE naval moves inside Baltic Sea.
Rekin, Northern Coasts, FRA-FIN exercises
were aimed to find a submarine and prevent its attack.

This or that way both went to Pentagon shortly after.
The USA evaluated that Baltic sea is too hot and evacuated the area.

Sequence of events is described here.

Were secretes shared so USA could profit from attack on Nordstream?

115 - Nov 2022 - FRA: “Europe is not sheltered anymore from missile and drone strikes. And we must integrate this reality,” Macron

The UK´s attack against the Nordstream had unintended consequences.

In mid September 2022 the USA has learned that UK mission could target Nordstream.
It vacated the Baltic sea and started to prefer own security over the security of its allies.

The NATO nuclear umbrella has been broken.

If a NATO Rogue state attacks Russia
then Russia could reserve a right to strike proportionally back.

NATO has been overly vocal over unity and protecting every inch of its territory.
But is this the case?

AFTER NORDSTREAM IS ATTACKED

1 Nov 2022 - Russia Considers Retaliation Against UK After Blaming Royal Navy For Nord Stream Blast

Russia said on Tuesday it was considering what “further steps” to take in connection with its allegation that Britain was responsible for an attack on the Nord Stream undersea gas pipelines.

Russia’s defense ministry said on Saturday that British navy personnel had blown up the Nord Stream pipelines in September, an assertion that London said was false and designed to distract from Russian military failures in Ukraine.

There is evidence that Britain is involved in sabotage … a terrorist act against vital energy infrastructure,”Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Such actions cannot be put aside. Of course, we will think about further steps. It definitely cannot be left like this,” Peskov said.

114 - How Powerful were UK Nuclear Weapons?

The UK´s strategy has backfired.

The UK´s  attack on Nordstream backfired.
If Truss broke NPT then it backfired.
There were supposed to be more anti-Russian missions, it is falling as well.
In fact the whole policy of Russian confrontation has failed.

As a rogue nation The UK is loosing its nuclear deterrence.

INTRO ABOUT UK´s NUCLEAR DETERRENT - TRIDENT SUBMARINES:

15 Sept 2022 - SUBLANT HOSTS REGIONAL, AREA COMMANDER SUMMIT

NORFOLK, Va. Submarine Force Atlantic (SUBLANT) hosted a regional and area commander summit onboard Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads, Sept. 15.

The summit allowed for focused discussion to identify obstacles that might inhibit an overwhelming response to a major fire aboard a nuclear-powered warship,” said Capt. Stephen Mongold, SUBLANT’s director for maintenance and material readiness. “The intent is to develop and align on priority actions to further improve our collective readiness for a coordinated, effective response.”

28 Oct 2022 - How Powerful Are UK Nuclear Weapons?

The UK has come closest to creating a minimum nuclear deterrence. The UK possesses 225 nuclear warheads, 120 of which may be deployed aboard four Vanguard-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs). This estimate is based on public information on the British nuclear arsenal, talks with UK officials, and nuclear forces structure analysis. The UK’s only nuclear platform and delivery system are SSBNs with 16 missile tubes.

In 1980, the Polaris program was discontinued and replaced with the Trident program. The Trident program’s headquarters are located at the Clyde Naval Base in Faslane.

Even though it has its independent nuclear deterrent, the United Kingdom produces and maintains the missiles that make up Trident. While the United Kingdom is responsible for constructing the Vanguard submarines, the United States is in charge of missile production.

THE FIRST ACCIDENT:

6 Not 2022 - Nuclear-armed Navy submarine aborted top secret mission due to life-or-death fire beneath the waves

7 Nov 2022 - Fire on board Royal Navy submarine was 'quickly extinguished'

A Royal Navy submarine suffered a fire on board, Forces News has been told.

The fire on HMS Victorious "was in a self-contained module and was quickly extinguished", according to a Navy source.

A Royal Navy spokesperson said: "The Continuous At Sea Deterrent [CASD] is unaffected, but we do not comment on the detail of submarine operations."

According to reports in the Sun newspaper, the Vanguard-class Victorious ditched a top-secret mission and rose to the surface to deal with the onboard fire.

The newspaper also reported that she was carrying Trident nuclear missiles when the blaze was dealt with.

Following Nato policy, the UK uses minimal credible nuclear deterrence, but does not follow a policy of 'no-first use' – which would prevent launching a nuclear attack unless first coming under nuclear attack from another state.

It has vowed not to use or threaten a nuclear attack against any non-nuclear state within the NPT unless the agreement is breached.

8 Nov 2022 - ‘A disaster waiting to happen’: British nuclear-armed sub resurfaces after fire onboard

The Ministry of Defence said the incident on HMS Victorious happened six weeks ago.

[MRT: This would put the "accident" to the end of September when the Nordstream was attacked. Was it really an accident or did Russia knock it out?]

SECOND ACCIDENT?:

7 Nov 2022 - Rishi Sunak and Suella Brawemen are evacuated (video)

UK PM Rishi Sunak runs off stage and is rushed out of the room. What‘s happening?

[MRT: There was no Russian announcement at this time about Nuclear positioning. Only a year after we learned that another Trident submarine had supposedly malfunction.]

NUCLEAR TALKS BETWEEN ADULTS:

7 Nov 2022 - National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has held undisclosed talks with top Russian

officials in hopes of reducing the risk the war in Ukraine spills over or escalates into a nuclear conflict, the Wall Street Journal reported yesterday.

8 Nov 2022 - Ukraine war: US confirms 'communications' with Kremlin

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has confirmed communication channels between Washington and Moscow remain open.

8 Nov 2022 - The United States and Russia are preparing to resume negotiations on nuclear weapons

... control - Bloomberg. A spokesman for the US State Department confirmed preparations for a meeting of the bilateral advisory commission, but declined to say when and where it would take place.

[MRT: What was a trigger for this? What caused the need to do this?]

AS IF THE UK´S NUCLEAR DETERRENCE IS NO MORE:

9 Nov 2022 - Macron unveils shift in military posture as war returns to Europe

Europe is not sheltered anymore from missile and drone strikes. And we must integrate this reality,” Macron said, speaking on the Dixmude helicopter carrier, docked in the Mediterranean military base of Toulon which is home to more than 24,000 troops.

15 Nov 2022 - France’s Military Pivot to Europe

The Central Europeans along with other staunchly Atlanticist countries also often think that when Macron speaks about strategic autonomy for Europe, it is about the gradual weakening NATO or the creation of a defense structure in competition with the U.S.-led military alliance. Indeed, Macron once dubbed NATO as “brain-dead,” a description that has endured.

25 Nov 2022 - 'Outrageous': Brussels sparks fury as it blocks export of nuclear defence tech to UK

The UK needs a so-called specialised isostatic press to maintain its nuclear arsenal, which includes the Trident II D5, the Royal Navy's ballistic missile system with a range of over 4,000 nautical miles.

Britain and Belgium are locking horns in a furious despite after Brussels blocked the export of nuclear technology that plays a crucial role in maintaining the UK's nuclear deterrent...

[MRT: Looks like a US request. Belgium can not decide on such level without consultations with USA or it was a USA request.]

The UK’s independent nuclear deterrent has existed for over 60 years and is constantly deployed at sea in atomic-powered ballistic missile submarines. These include the HMS Vanguard, HMS Victorious, HMS Vigilant and HMS Vengeance.

CONSEQUENCES:

31 Jan 2023 - 'Defect' found during nuclear submarine maintenance

HMS Vanguard was found to have a defect "from work done in the past" when the vessel was in dry dock, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said.

11 April 2023 - Royal Navy submarine completes historic Mediterranean mission

The conventionally armed Hunter-killer submarine, HMS Audacious was on operations for two days short of a year – a mammoth 363 days away from her base on the Clyde, making it the longest ever deployment for any of the Royal Navy’s new Astute-class submarines.

October 2023 - UK May Host U.S. Nuclear Weapons Again

The United Kingdom may host U.S. nuclear weapons on its territory for the first time since their complete withdrawal 15 years ago, a move that Russia stated would escalate already high nuclear tensions in Europe.

The UK nuclear arsenal consists of an estimated 225 nuclear warheads for submarine-launched ballistic missiles. The U.S. nuclear weapons that potentially are headed for the UK most likely would be B61-12 gravity bombs.

Plans call for the dormitory construction to begin in June 2024 and finish in February 2026. The 2024 budget allotted $50 million for the project. Meanwhile, NATO is overseeing infrastructure and security upgrades at nuclear weapons storage sites in Europe, including Lakenheath, according to 2023 budget documents.

11 Nov 2023 - British nuclear submarine, which was prepared to confront Russia, has been sitting idle for a year waiting for repairs

HMS Audacious... already needs repairs. There are no free dry docks for the submarine.

In 2023 some Royal Navy attack submarines did not go to sea at all

In January this year it was reported that inspectors found a "defect" on HMS Vanguard, the lead boat of the four Vanguard-class submarines, while it was undergoing maintenance work.

The defect, from "work done in the past" was "promptly reported and fixed", the MoD said at the time.

In May the vessel finally left the Devonport dockyard where it had undergone a seven-and-a-half-year refit.

20 Nov 2023 - Nuclear-armed submarine suffered malfunction

A Royal Navy nuclear submarine suffered a "concerning" malfunction while diving, the BBC has been told.

The incident on board the unnamed Vanguard class submarine, which carries the UK's trident nuclear missiles, happened more than a year ago while it was preparing to go out on patrol.

113 - Russian nuclear positioning before the Nordstream is attacked

Russia was actively reacting the the worsening of the security in the Baltic sea

It could be argued that Russia could see the attack on Nordstream as an attack on its assets.

The USA and NATO were not sure about the Russian response
to the rogue attack on its infrastructure

It is possible to make a claim that the analysis and modelling of possible
Russian responses led to the USA leaving Baltic sea on 21-09-2022 with immediate effect

BEFORE NORDSTREAM IS ATTACKED

16 Sept 2022 - ‘Don’t, don’t, don’t’: Biden presses Putin on nuclear weapons

US President Joe Biden has urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to not use tactical nuclear or chemical weapons after a series of military losses in Ukraine.

Asked by an American reporter with the show 60 Minutes on US network CBS what he would say to Putin if he considered using such weapons, Biden said: “Don’t. Don’t. Don’t. It would change the face of war unlike anything since World War II.

Biden said the US response would be “consequential” – but declined to give details.

[Russia] would become more of a pariah in the world than they ever have been,” Biden said. “Depending on the extent of what they do, will determine what response would occur.”

Asked about Biden’s comments, RIA Novosti quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying: “Read [Russia’s nuclear] doctrine. Everything is written there.”

Under Moscow’s doctrine, nuclear weapons can be used after “an aggression against Russia or its ally with the use of mass destruction weapons”, or “when the very existence of the state is under threat”.

20 Sept 2022 - Russian State TV Says Queen's Funeral Was Ideal Time to Nuke U.K.

During a discussion on Monday, Andrey Gurulyov, a Russian member of parliament and a former army commander, disparaged President Joe Biden's appeal to Vladimir Putin not to use weapons of mass destruction, such as nuclear arms.

When asked last week by CBS News about what his message would be to Putin if he was considering WMDs to help his faltering invasion, Biden replied, "don't, don't, don't," adding that this would spark consequences, without specifying further.

But Gurulyov appeared to dismiss the threat of any nuclear strike by Russia against Ukraine by suggesting that another target would be more likely.

"Did you hear all that nonsense he was spouting?" Gurulyov said of Biden, "what made him think we would conduct a nuclear strike against Ukraine?"

"We'll still have to live over there, in Ukraine. We have plenty of targets," he said, first mentioning the U.S. Air Force base in Ramstein, Germany. "Why would we bomb Ukraine and Germany when there is Britain, the root of evil?" he said.

21 Sept 2022 - Putin mobilizes and threatens nuclear weapons

President Vladimir Putin has announced partial mobilization in what is a clear Russian escalation of the war in Ukraine. It includes 300,000 reservists.

- I am not bluffing, said the Russian president when he announced the decision in a televised speech on Wednesday morning.

Shortly afterwards, Defense Minister Sergej Sjojgu stated in a televised interview that 300,000 people in the reserve forces will be mobilised.

He assured that this should not apply to conscripts and students, only those who have relevant combat experience.

The West wants to destroy Russia

In the speech, Putin said he is willing to use all available means to defend Russian territories while accusing the West of wanting to "weaken, divide and ultimately destroy our country."

- To those who allow themselves to make such statements about Russia, I would like to remind that our country also has various means of destruction, Putin said.

- When our country's territorial integrity is threatened, we will clearly use all the means we have to protect Russia and our people. This is no hoax, he added.

Nuclear threat

At the same time, Putin accused the West of carrying out "nuclear blackmail", after which he referred to "statements by some high-ranking representatives of leading NATO countries about the possibility of using weapons of mass destruction against Russia". It is unclear which statements he was referring to.

[MRT: Was it the UK? If it was the USA top official level Russia would put its nukes to silos and rang the nuclear preparedness alert.]

21 Sept 2022 - Former Putin adviser threatens nuclear strikes on UK: ‘Your cities will be targeted’

Ex-Russian lawmaker Sergei Markov blames Biden, Johnson, Truss for war after Putin announces partial mobilization; UK minister: ‘Talk of nuclear war is completely unhelpful

A former key adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened Britain with nuclear strikes in an interview with the BBC on Wednesday, shortly after Moscow announced a widespread mobilization of troops.

“In Russia there’s partial mobilization and for your British listeners Vladimir Putin told you that he would be ready to use nuclear weapons against Western countries, including nuclear weapons against Great Britain,” Sergei Markov told the BBC.

Your cities will be targeted,” said the former Russian lawmaker, who serves as a key public defender of the Kremlin to the international press.

Everybody in the world now is thinking of nuclear war,” Markov said, claiming that a potential escalation would be due to the “crazy behavior of US President Joe Biden, as well the former and current British prime ministers Boris Johnson and Liz Truss.

Biden, Johnson and Truss are fully responsible for the war in Ukraine,” he claimed, nearly seven months after Russia invaded its neighbor.

“It was absolutely clear that Russia has no war against Ukraine, Russia has no reason to use technical nuclear weapons against Ukrainians,” Markov said.

Putin has previously warned the West not to push Russia against the wall and has rebuked NATO countries for supplying weapons to help Ukraine.

In his address, which was far shorter than previous speeches about the Ukraine war, Putin accused the West of engaging in “nuclear blackmail” and noted “statements of some high-ranking representatives of the leading NATO states about the possibility of using nuclear weapons of mass destruction against Russia.”

He didn’t identify who had made such comments.

“To those who allow themselves such statements regarding Russia, I want to remind you that our country also has various means of destruction, and for separate components and more modern than those of NATO countries and when the territorial integrity of our country is threatened, to protect Russia and our people, we will certainly use all the means at our disposal,” Putin said.

He added: “It’s not a bluff.”

21 Sept 2022 - Ex-Putin adviser warns UK cities could be hit with nuclear weapons if Britain ‘continues to be aggressor’

Sergey Markov says ‘a lot of people in Western countries’ could be killed in nuclear war on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme

An ex-adviser to Vladimir Putin has claimed UK cities could be a nuclear target for the Russian president and blamed the Ukraine war on the West as he launched into a bizarre rant on British radio.

Sergey Markov made a host of unsubstantiated claims - including that Western countries are using Ukrainian soldiers “as slaves” - before shouting down the phone line during his interview.

He threatened the West with nuclear war before he was asked any questions on BBC’s Today programme on Wednesday morning.

Good morning to you,” the presenter said, to which the ex-Putin advisor replied: “Good morning. Well it’s not good morning ... for everybody.”

He continued: “For Western countries, for you, British listeners, I would say that Vladimir Putin told us he would be ready to use nuclear weapons against Western countries, including nuclear weapons against Great Britain.

Mr Markov said “your cities will be target..” before being interrupted.

After claiming Russia wanted peace, Mr Markov was challenged by the BBC presenter who said: “You haven’t been talking much about peace, have you? You’ve just threatened us all with complete destruction, nuclear missiles coming to London, you said, and now you talk about peace.”

Mr Markov replied: “If Great Britain continues to be aggressor against Russia, if the prime minister of Great Britain, Liz Truss, still has a plan to destroy Russia, people in London should understand this threat comes from Liz Truss who is aggressor.

'Absolutely clear' Putin's nuclear threat serious for western countries, says Sergei Markov

The official noted that Lavrov “did not appear until two minutes before his own speech – he had one of his minions listen, to the extent they were listening – and then he left you know within a minute and a half of speaking.”

22 Sept 2022: Russia's Medvedev: strategic nuclear weapons can be used to defend new regions

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday that any weapons in Moscow's arsenal, including strategic nuclear weapons, could be used to defend territories joined to Russia from Ukraine.

Medvedev, who also serves as deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, said that referendums planned by Russian- installed and separatist authorities in large swathes of Ukrainian territory will take place, and "there is no going back".

"The Western establishment and all citizens of NATO countries in general need to understand that Russia has chosen its own path," Medvedev said.

27 Sept 2022: “Russia has a right to use nuclear weapons” – Medvedev

Russian deputy Chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, said his country “has a right” to use nuclear weapons to defend itself as necessary.

Medvedev said this morning that Russia is ready to use these weapons in case the country or its allies are attacked with nuclear weapons.

He stated that the security of the United States, the United Kingdom and Belgium is more important for NATO than Ukraine’s destiny. He added that he is convinced that NATO will not intervene if Russia has to attack Ukraine with nuclear arms.

[MRT: This looks like Russia knew that there were some nuclear weapons in Ukraine at this point and clearly stated their next steps. Note that data point that the UK (under Truss) broke the NPT and was considering some explosion of Ukrainian bridge or over the Black sea. The reason was to get international community involved in some kind of mission to protect civilians.]
