CRIME SEQUENCE RECONSTRUCTION
Primary Suspect: The investigation identifies elements of the UK government as the primary suspect for the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines. The post examines what led to the Nordstream affair.
U.S. Strategic Warnings: The U.S. issued warnings to European countries about potential attacks on the Nordstream pipelines. These warnings were described as "strategic" but "vague," but they could have been specific and detailed.
Military Flight Activity: There were numerous instances where U.S. Navy Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft, along with German and UK military planes, were detected flying over or near the Nordstream pipelines without transponders or with altered call signs. This activity was noted around June 8 to June 16, 2022, with specific flights mentioned on June 8, 10, 11, 15, and 16. What did they see there?
Implications of Flight Patterns: The repeated and deliberate flight patterns over the future Nordstream blast sites, especially by U.S. and NATO aircraft, suggest a reconnaissance or preparation phase leading up to the sabotage but it is unclear who was seen there operating.
Geopolitical Context: The post situates these actions within a broader geopolitical context where the UK might have been most motivated to prevent the completion of Nordstream 2, thereby maintaining leverage over European energy supplies and countering Russian influence in light of post Brexit decline and own energy insecurity.
Intelligence and Diplomacy: The vagueness of the warnings might have been strategic to protect intelligence sources or to manage diplomatic relations, especially if the release hat the suspected party was an ally could not be publicly confirmed due to political situation and.
Events in chronological order, grouped - JUNE 2022
After the attack on the Nordstream pipelines a news came out that there was a warning from USA to a couple of European countries. (131)
The C.I.A. issued a "vague warning" in June to a number of European nations, including Germany, that the two Nord Stream gas pipelines that carry natural gas from Russia could be targeted in forthcoming attacks, three senior officials familiar with the intelligence said on Tuesday.
The German publication Der Spiegel was the first to report that the U.S. had provided what intelligence officials call “strategic warning” of a possible attack — a warning that came with no specifics about the likely time or place or manner of a potential strike.
Another report from Tuesday 27th of September about the June 2022 about the warning: "Der Spiegel was the first to report that the The C.I.A issued a vague warning in June to a number of European nations, including Germany, that the two Nord Stream gas pipelines that carry natural gas from Russia could be targeted in forthcoming attacks, three senior officials familiar with the intelligence said on Tuesday what intelligence officials call “strategic warning” of a possible attack — a warning that came with no specifics about the likely time or place or manner of a potential strike... The Biden administration, which in the run-up to the war often accused Russia of planning attacks on Ukraine, was careful on Tuesday not to blame Moscow — or anyone else."
Protecting Intelligence Sources and Methods: To safeguard how the intelligence was gathered, which might include sensitive human sources or technical means that could be compromised if too much detail was shared publicly.
Hidden Depth in Communication: There might have been more detailed communications between intelligence agencies or governments behind closed doors. Official public statements often differ from the depth of information shared in secure, diplomatic channels.
It is clear that countries which were warned would be definitely curious about the source of the threat. They would implement at least some Limited Preventive Measures, Increased Surveillance, Security around the Key infrastructure, or Readiness of Response teams, but without knowing specifics like the exact location, method, or timing, extensive or targeted protective measures would be challenging. Knowing the timeframe of the event, between June and the Monday 26th of September data should be looked at whether such measures were implemented, where and how. During the time between mid September and the time of explosions on 26th of September 2022 the whole Baltic sea was lit with different police actions, surveillance flights, naval trainings, anti-terrorist drills against protecting many different assets in the area. (179)
Conclusion is that the more unusual activity the more chance that the warning was more than vague!
Fools those who can not protect own critical infrastructure. (001, 045, 199)
But lets not run too fast!
Germany purchased on June 4, 2022 7 additional Boeing P-8A Poseidon and buries MAWS project, to complete a fleet of 12 Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA).

The report states that to prevent attacks is very difficult and requires a combination of surface, undersea surveillance as well as mine-hunting activities to detect threats. The report specifically notes a danger from malicious activities under the threshold of armed conflict. Note that Christian Bueger - Professor of International Relations specialised in maritime security and ocean governance at University of Copenhagen and the main author of the report hints to two main scenarios which may have happened in his article from after explosions.
A first option is that the attacks could have been carried out as an underwater operation using advanced submarine technology. This implies that we are looking at a state and its navy. Although the attacks took place outside the territorial waters of the Nato members Denmark and Sweden, they could be interpreted as an act of war. It is supported by a lot of data (019, 056, 069, 077, 118, 144, 145, 146)
The second scenario is an operation launched from a privately owned surface vessel, such as a fishing boat being used as a platform for divers or submersibles to place explosives. In this case, the attack vessel was hiding in everyday maritime traffic.
There is another expert opinion available from after blasts. Former mine clearance diver of the French Navy Philippe Chêne talks about Nordstream and explains: This sabotage bears the mark of a military attack, and again: “ not all navies have the necessary skills”. Similar to the statement to Swedish investigator he notes: “Some nations have midget submarines with combat swimmers. These are small submarines with a crew of just a few men. They can be launched from a mother submarine to hit their target. They can deposit loads at this depth. But combat divers do not escape the laws of underwater pressure. Beyond 50 m depth, dives become very complicated in terms of safety." He also explores other possible trajectories like Underwater drone, Underwater Robot, Mobil mines, Magnetic torpedo, and Trapped piston used in so called "pigging". (008, 093, 099)
Norway is experiencing a difficult situation because of the high for its export. Price of domestic electricity in southern part of Norway is very high due to demand from Europe.
On June 5, 2022 - NOR: Norway calls off gas strikes that risked UK supply. The UK imports about 50% of its gas and Norway is its biggest supplier making up 77% of imports, ONS data shows. The Department for Business said: "We have one of the most reliable and diverse energy systems in the world, with access to our own North Sea gas reserves, and the second largest LNG port infrastructure in Europe."
CABLE DAMAGE
On June 1, 2022 - Radakin: "A pleasure to welcome fellow chiefs and senior military leaders from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States to London for a meeting of the Five Eyes Partnership."
On June 4, 2022 Liz Truss on her Twitter account: "Thanks to outgoing Estonian Foreign Minister @eliimets - it has been a pleasure working with you. Estonia is an inspiration in its defence of freedom and democracy. Congratulations to new FM @SuttAndres. Look forward to working together to ensure Putin fails in Ukraine."
YEARLY INTERNATIONAL NAVAL EXERCISE - BALTOPS
International naval exercise in the Baltic Sea, BALTOPS took place: 5 - 17 June 2022. "The biggest naval exercise of the year in the Baltic Sea begins this weekend, where over 45 ships from 14 NATO countries train together. Denmark participates with ships and a specialized mine clearance unit. The Swedish Navy is participating this year with the diving ship Søløven, two ships from the mine clearance force and a team from the mine divers"
The NATO BALTOPS exercise was held between June 5 - June 17, 2022. Note that the exercise precedes the planned Nord Stream AG and Nord Stream 2 AG planned Maintenance works which are conducted usually by 3rd party companies to assess internal and external integrity. It is important for re-insurers, to help to make sure there are no issues with pipelines. Exact details are not known. data are usually compared to previous years. (Nordstream emergency response plan and yearly check-ups).

On 18 June 2022 News: "Yesterday in a joint conversation with @USNavyCNO on board the GORCH FOCK. In difficult times, strong and close partnerships are all the more important. #strongertogether #WeAreNATO"
@deutschemarine"
While in Kiel, Gilday met with Vice Adm. Jan Kaack, Chief of the German Navy, as well as Vice Adm. Frank Lenski, Vice Chief of the German Navy, to discuss operational areas of mutual interest, NATO operations, and Transatlantic security. (Could this be the source of the warning? /118)
The trip culminated with a BALTOPS reception aboard the U.S. Sixth Fleet flagship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20), where Gilday met with U.S and foreign naval leadership, as well as members of the local community.
U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and U.S. Sixth Fleet maintains regular rotational forces that operate in the theater throughout the year. These forces include: Forward Deployed Naval Forces guided-missile destroyers, P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft; construction and expeditionary personnel; and Military Sealift Command USNS ships that provide a wide array of support and capability to our forces at sea. This was Gilday’s first visit to Germany.
It is possible that under the guise of NATO exercises and maritime surveillance, UK Special Forces began mapping the Baltic Sea routes, gathering data on the pipeline's vulnerabilities. The UK's navy has such capabilities, including submarines and divers, which could be discreetly positioned to assess and plan for potential sabotage. This could have been done with such secrecy that even allies were unaware of the full extent of UK's intentions. It is possible that some of such activities were discovered by US Navy, confirmed by CIA and then shared with key allies in secrecy due to sensitivity.
On June 8, 2022 Angela Merkel in the interview: "But it wasn't an easy decision. "The thesis at the time was that once Nord Stream 2 is operational, Putin will stop supplying gas through Ukraine or even attack it." The West ensured that gas was routed through Ukraine anyway, and she continued to receive transit fees. Merkel pointed out that Russia then attacked Ukraine on February 24, when gas was not yet routed through Nord Stream 2 . "In this sense, gas was not a weapon," Merkel said.
Merkel defends Nord Stream 2 decision on June 18, 2022. Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel has defended her decisions to build the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea. "I didn't believe in change through trade, but in connection through trade, with the second largest nuclear power in the world," Merkel told the editorial network Germany. But it wasn't an easy decision. "The thesis at the time was that once Nord Stream 2 is operational, Putin will stop supplying gas through Ukraine or even attack it." The West ensured that gas was still routed through Ukraine and that they continued to receive transit fees. Merkel pointed out that Russia then attacked Ukraine on February 24, when gas was not yet flowing through Nord Stream 2. "In this sense, gas was not a weapon," Merkel said.
Liquid gas was too expensive for the German economy
Merkel also justified the procedure at the time with economic considerations. "At the time, the German economy opted for pipeline gas transport from Russia because it was economically cheaper than liquid gas from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates and later also from the USA," she explained. They were willing to use taxpayers' money to support the construction of two terminals for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Germany. "But until the last day of my tenure, no company built an LNG terminal in Germany because there was no importer who would have booked long-term capacities in advance because of the high price."
There was no leverage, Germany has partly miscalculated on its own and partly has been played. (103)
US Navy, UK Royal Navy, JFC, JEF and ALLIES
“The JEF defense ministers discussed present security challenges, including the implications of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and assessed the future development of the JEF to ensure its continuing to provide an efficient contribution to security and stability in its core region consisting of the High North, the North Atlantic, and the Baltic Sea”, the defense ministers say in a joint statement after their meeting. For Norway, the JEF supplements other cooperation formats such as NATO in an early, yet tense situation to get an overview and be able to de-escalate a potentially dangerous development, according to the Armed Forces. (069)
Minister-level training
Last winter and spring, a series of multinational military exercises have taken place in the Nordics, while training about political and military crisis management for defense ministers and lead defense representatives is hardly ever mentioned.
“We must be fully ready to react swiftly and efficiently in case of a crisis or threats against our countries. It is important that we constantly work together with our allied and close partners to strengthen our cooperation, not least in the current security policy situation”, Danish Defense Minister Morten Bødskov (S) says in a press statement.
The goal of the exercise was to practice the rapid reaction force’s handling of an escalating crisis, and that in a way that support NATO’s role.
“We are in the middle of a critical time for European and international security and the coming together and discussing issues of mutual interest, as well as demonstrating unity, is essential” says Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram (Center Party) in a press statement.
“Both the meeting and the exercise has shown that our countries are capable and willing to work together to face joint security threats and challenges in our region”, Gram adds."
UK NEWS & MOVES
Deadly cargo: According to Scottish CND and Nukewatch, in a news from 10 June 10, 2022, there were nuclear warhead convoys at the end of the month in May, June and July. The convoys do a return journey from AWE Burghfield in southern England (where the bombs are maintained) to Coulport on the west coast of Scotland (where they’re loaded onto Trident submarines). They travel through Glasgow, a city of 1.6 million people. Each truck was probably carrying two nuclear warheads. On 10 June, according to Nukewatch, a special nuclear material convoy left RAF Brize Norton for AWE Aldermaston, the nuclear bomb factory. (096, 113)

THE TURBINES AFFAIR

Things got worse as reportedly on June 15, 2022 it was noticed that: "Another turbine was also due for maintenance in 2022 but could not be sent from Russia overseas." This was the reason why Gazprom announced it was reducing the flow through Nord Stream to 67 mmcm/d as one more turbine was taken offline, leaving only two operational turbines. Sanctions on Nord stream had unintended consequences.

Russia, through Tass agency reminds on June 16, 2022 that: "Both strings of Nord Stream 2 are under pressure and gas can be delivered to Germany even now, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller said during his speech at SPIEF 2022"
At the same time anti Russian gas articles appear in the UK: June 16, 2022 "BASF subsidiary profits from Germany’s Russian gas addiction. Despite the war in Ukraine, in 2022 the chemical giant’s subsidiary Wintershall has piped €14 billion worth of Russian gas across Germany and made €400 million from its Siberian gas and oil fields.

News from Bornholm area (more examples to get all interesting data):
On June 17, 2022 - RU/DK: Russian corvette in Danish waters last night - A Russian corvette violated Danish territorial waters twice last night. The incident took place north of Christiansø off Bornholm. Later in the night, the same corvette crossed the territorial waters again, also north of Christiansø. After a call on civilian VHF radio from the Navy's maritime response unit, the Russian ship immediately left Danish territorial waters.
On June 17, 2022 news post: "Russian warship violated Danish territorial waters in Baltic, Danish military says"
Russian intrusions shown willingness to protect its project. And VERY strongly. Listed news describe a plane and ship violated Danish Territorial zone near the future blasts. Note that those blast sites are in DK and SWE Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ) VERY near Danish and Swedish Territorial Zones (TZ). That for example allows any submarine to hide in water where it is not seen and where Russia can not go based on maritime law. Was this a testing of Russian reaction time? What surface, sub-surface or otherwise suspicious activity triggered Russian surveillance plane and navy to go into that area?
NEW SUPPLY CONTRACTS
The British Gas owner, Centrica, has signed a major supply deal with the Norwegian state oil company, Equinor, as ministers scramble to secure domestic energy supplies.
Equinor has agreed to deliver an additional 1bn cubic metres of gas supplies to the company for each of the next three years – enough to heat an additional 4.5m UK homes.
The submarine was formally commissioned in September 2021. It joined its sister vessels – HMS Astute, Ambush and Artful – on the front line for the first time in January, spending months in the depths of the North Atlantic and Mediterranean.
Fresh from its deployment to the Arctic, in which it carried out a number of missions including sub-surface stealth raids with Royal Marines Commandos, sister submarine HMS Ambush joined Audacious as it limbered up for full operations off the Scottish coast. The two submarines went head to head in underwater battles in a range of warfare scenarios.

Danish frigate Absalon hunts submarines in the North Atlantic on 22 June 2022. "In recent weeks, the frigate Absalon has participated in the 'Dynamic Mongoose' exercise in the North Atlantic, where the Danes have hunted submarines together with our NATO allies." Dynamic Mongoose is an annual anti-submarine warfare exercise led by NATO's Maritime Command (MARCOM). This year, three submarines are participating in the exercise, along with 11 ships and a larger number of aircraft and helicopters. One of NATO's standing naval forces also participates. The purpose of the exercise is to train all parties in anti-submarine warfare in the deep Atlantic. This means that the surface ships are trained in search, localization and combat against submarines, where the ships use their sensors such as different types of sonar. (043)

NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN RUSSIA AND GERMANY
"It is therefore imperative that the G7 and NATO this week demonstrate that their commitment to Ukraine will never be surpassed by Putin’s determination to seize it. That means increasing and speeding up their supply of heavy weapons, continuing to sanction all those colluding in Putin’s war, and cutting off imports of Russian energy completely," the foreign ministers said.
26 June 2022 - UK: Truss: Today 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 🇯🇵 have led @G7 allies with sanctions to ban the import of Russian gold - cutting off funding for Putin’s war machine and further isolating Russia from the international financial system.
UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba wrote a joint article in The Telegraph about how to stop Putin's war in Ukraine.
It is therefore imperative that the G7 and NATO this week demonstrate that their commitment to Ukraine will never be surpassed by Putin’s determination to seize it. That means increasing and speeding up their supply of heavy weapons, continuing to sanction all those colluding in Putin’s war, and cutting off imports of Russian energy completely.
The UK is increasing its sanctions, with further legislation this week on a range of trade bans, and more to come over the next month. The free world, collectively, needs to bear down harder to cut Russia off from its key sources of foreign income: energy and other exports such as gold.
27 June 2022 - UK: Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has formally written to the PM to ask for the UK’s defence budget to be permanently increased to 2.5% of GDP - an extra 20% or £10bn a year - by 2028 because of the threat from a resurgent Russia

27 June 2022 - UK/JEF: Indispensable: NATO’s Framework Nations Concept beyond Madrid
The JEF is an example of NATO’s Framework Nations Concept (FNC), established at the Wales Summit in 2014 to encourage multinational groups within the alliance to develop deployable capabilities, led by a “framework nation.”
The United Kingdom’s intent to form the JEF was originally declared in a 2012 speech by then chief of the defense staff, General Sir David Richards: “The JEF will be of variable size; a framework into which others fit.” It was conceived and “designed to meet our NATO obligations,” based on the experience of Libya, where “Jordan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates were able to play a vital role by bringing their regional expertise into the command structure of a NATO operation.”
Leadership of the JEF was cemented as a UK priority in its 2015 defense review as part of the United Kingdom’s policy of becoming “international by design.”
On June 28, 2018, a new MOU formally declared the JEF able to “deploy over 10,000 personnel from across the nine nations.” Iceland joined in 2021, after which the 10 JEF nations issued a new policy directive “designed to provide the overarching policy framework within which the JEF can evolve as a concept and operate as a force, across a broad spectrum of operational activity.”
New army chief General Sanders urged Britain on June 28, 2022 to prepare for total war with Russia
Former Royal Navy Reservist and Defence Secretary Penny Mordaunt said on June 29, 2022: “The Atlantic Forum is an incredibly powerful force for good in the world."
We have to learn the lessons of the past, the failures of the Minsk protocol for example, in being able to secure a lasting peace in the area. So my very strong message is we have to defeat Russia first, and negotiate later."
